THIS CONTEST IS NOW CLOSED.

pumpkin! (because he had his first pumpkin meal yesterday…)
My baby can’t say any words yet, so she be glad to have some blocks to communicate her dearest love: boobs!
It is a toss up between ‘Go’ (she has been spending to much time with her dad- watching football) and ‘No’ (her little 2 year old independence shining through!)
Peta. In Portuguese, pacifier is chupeta (peta for short). Normally it is Peta Peas (plaese)
He is very proud that he can spell his name – LIAM.
Firetruck-ah! (At least that’s how he says it…)
my little guy is just learning how to talk, so dada is his favorite for now!
My son would put any combo of letters together and it would spell “boopf” …that is helicopter. He knows most of his letters by sight (he is 2) and understands a little about spelling, but all words spell “boopf” and helicopters are his favorite thing right now.
My little Damien does not talk yet. His only word for everything (and his name?) is “dada”.
My baby can’t say words yet either but I noticed how fascintated she is with our kayaks so I can see her wanting to spell that!
Our 2-year-old, Sofia, has suddenly become obsessed with the word ‘closed’. Replacing ‘hot’ as her new favorite, she uses it as often as possible, and with the new word has come a new interest in either opening anything that is already closed – doors, cabinets, zippers, etc., or vice versa…Also, when she says it, it sounds a little more like ‘cyoised’, so we’re hoping some alphabet blocks might help her get the sounds straight
My kiddo’s new favorite word is “bird”… although it comes out as “bwa”.
Not sure what they’d want to spell. Our twins are still cooking! Perhaps their names… once we figure that out.
my little one would spell “dog”, or at least “ruff, ruff”
My preschooler’s favorite word is “Mommy,” but it needs to be said more like “Mooooooommmmmmmmyyyyyyyy!” Heehee! My baby doesn’t talk yet, but she certainly loves to eat so I am thinking her favorite word is “Boobs!”
It would have to be “dog” but she says it “daw daw” …
My cousin’s baby can’t spell yet, but once he starts, this would help him work his way toward Scrabble
I’d love to use the blocks to teach my two girls how to spell star — their first recognizable word besides mama and dada.
He would no doubt spell “WAFFLE”, his favorite way to start the day!
Doggie!
My 18 month old loves to eat so if he could spell I think he would spell “SNACKS”. He is so cute when he wakes up from his afternoon nap the first word out of his mouth is…”SNACKS”.
My son is 16-months-old and doesn’t speak much. So, it would probably be a toss-up between “cheese”, “Dadoo” (my son’s nickname for his dad), and “moo”, since he just learned that’s what a cow says.
Of course, it he could he would probably just use sign language blocks to say “eat” and “milk” as they are his two favorite things.
my 18 month old would spell BALL!!! if he could.
my little man would probably love to spell his name more than anything. however my little girl is more likely to try and spell princess or barbie or something easier like frog, from her new fav movie, princess and the frog.
My toddler”s favorite word of the moment (beyond “no”) is “more” so we’d probably spell that and a lot “more”!
At 6 months he isn’t speaking yet, but maybe with the blocks and signing we can get to his first words “I love you”
MUM or CHEESE would be his favorite words and he’d love to spell them with blocks. Of course, if the set comes with lots of “H” blocks he’d probably prefer to spell his favorite sound to yell while running everywhere…AHHHHHHHHH
blueberry! my 1 and 2 year olds fav snack.
I just can’t wait for my 7 week old to say mommy, but I am sure her favorite work will be chocolate…if she takes after her father.
My baby’s first words appear to be “what’s that?” but I think if she were to spell it, it would come out more like “wazzat”. So hopefully the set includes 2 “z”s!
that would be moo
dog (he’s only 2).
Our little one is to young to say any word (let alone spell it) so we would spell love for him
My son write peutibou, it was his nick name before his birth.
My granddaughter Cordelia, only 12 months, would need help spelling. I would help her spell DOG or CAT since she loves my pets.
Our daughter would probably chose PINK
My little girl would definitely be spelling out “Opie” which is our dog’s name, she’s in love with him!
My daughter would spell out “sherbet” if she could. She can’t get enough of the cold treat.
My granddaughter would love to spell out her new favorite word which is Auntie.
SamneneD@aol.com
I think it would have to be ‘BUNNY’.
“Up”! The only word my toddler seems to be saying anymore! Not only does she want to be picked “up”, but the only thing she will watch on the television is Disney Pixar’s “Up”… Sadly it only takes two blocks to spell out, which is a crying shame since the blocks are so beautiful!!
Sustainilicious ! (burp)
Moon is the word that was first for our son.
“Book.” As in, “read book, mommy? Read book, daddy?”
if my daughter picked one word to spell i think it would be mom.
Every child’s favorite word: MORE
Either that or “Biboo”–the name he calls our dog, “Shindu”
My son would spell “George.” He loves C. George!
A toss up between MORE & NO!!!
I subscribe, and my daughter’s only word so far is mama, so I guess that would have to be it.
Laura
Most likely her name, Elle or something girly!
mama!
my kiddo would spell MOM!
BABY BABY BABY
My 2 year old niece’s current favorite word is ice cream
GIZMO
I think it would be ‘Myself’. I don’t know where he heard it, but he keeps on repeating it! Either that one or Fuh-ehck, which means Shrek. Haha. He’s a very smart 1 year old (almost 2!). He surprises me everyday.
Favorite color and word is Green!
My son can’t talk just yet, but he’d love to learn how to spell MAMA with these blocks!
Our baby is due any day now, so I’m not sure what she would spell. Maybe “Heidi” (he name) or “LeRoy” or “Hank” (our dogs) or perhaps “Ralphie” or “Katie-May” (our cats) or any of a number of the names for animals in our animal rescue (http://www.gatewayanimals.org“). She will most definitely grow up to be an animal lover and sustainable living expert.
Or perhaps her inclination would be towards our organic garden and indoor planting. Then maybe she’ll spell “dirt” or “pesticides suck” or “Hell ya, tomatoes” (one of my favorite phrases).
The possibilities are endless and all awaiting her birth.
I would hope that my ten-month-old granddaughter would spell out “Nanny”; for medical reasons, I can’t fly, and her parents aren’t able to come for a visit now. I’ve never met her, and it almost breaks my heart. Her poppa loved playing with the wooden toys his grandpa made for him as a baby…I would love for both of them to be able to share these wonderful blocks.
Rowyn would probably spell love! This is because that is how Mommy and Daddy say “I Love You”. We say L-O-V-E before bed and any time we leave each other so I bet LOVE is the first word that she spells
i would like my little so to say GREENPEACE
Will would probably want to spell “Wes” – his new baby brother!
These are the quality wooden blocks that are so well made that they will pass on from
generation to generation! I adore the added colors and textures they have.
My son would undoubtedly spell “truck!”
Many thanks, Cindi
“dai dai” because we’re expecting our second!
That definitely would be MOM
My son would spell Aston Martin, his favorite car. My daughter, who is still at university, would spell, Send more money. But if I won the Alphabet blocks they would be wrapped in cotton wool until I could teach their first born to spell GRANDAD.
my grandson would spell dog or cat – the two words he knows
Based on frequency of use: “Non!”
Based on desire: “Up!”
His name – Thomas!!!
Alexander’s favorite word is “baby” and he will say it when he sees it. Those blocks would greatly help our spelling activites! (^_^)
3-2-1 GO!
this will be gr8 for my 1 year old….thanks
Little Lauren’s first (and favourite!) word is “Stuck”! She frequently crawls herself into sticky situations and cries “Stuck! Stuck!” Whether it be trapped under the table, or unable to crawl out of the olive oil she’s poured all over the floor, I’m sure a beautiful wagon of blocks would keep her out of mischief.
My grandson would spell the word “Thank You” because I try to teach them to be gracious & thankful for everything.
Madison would spell PopPop ( her grandpa) because we just moved and she misses him so much!
he would love to spell his name Edge!
I’m handing the iPhone over to 5 mo. old Hudson with the keypad displayed to see if he might answer the question for himself (please forgive the spelling)……
Rshbuyubut
IM sure it would be Goopie, because thats what she calls her little stuffed horse.
What a wonderful learning tool for my 9 month old grandson and 20month granddaughter. A childhood favorite that has been designed to be safe and education. A parent can rest assured that this toy will be a good and safe investment for their child’s well being and growth.
Brooklyn would learn to spell “puppy”, she loves her puppy.
she would spell winner!!!!! ha ha ha
My daughter would love to play with it. She just started asking all the words around her. We can play together and creat new words. Thinking about it just makes me happy.
I would spell B-E-D for my son Aidan, though his favorite word is ‘eat’, and after that, his new favorite word is ‘out’, after ‘boots” of course. His birthday is the 11th, he will be two, and we could spell an infinity of possibilities with such beautiful blocks!
tfaune-at-gmail.com
My Aidan is still learning to talk, I bet he would love to spell eat, as next to running and playing that is his favorite thing to do and say! He turns two on February 11th, so we would definitely teach him to spell out Thank You if we won! Thank you for throwing a fun contest!
mama faune and baby Aidan
“MOOSE” … that’s his favorite animal, right after dog.
HIs first word will be TETA!
it means Boob in spanish.
note: he doesn’t call me mom … he calls me Teta!
so I guess that’s what I am for him… well…
he is 17 month old:)
RECYCLE. my son loves to help mom sort items for recycling….though, he also loves to un-sort them, so this is often a long process!
