In addition to the hands-on toys, there is also a brightly colored playhouse, made with azo-free, OEKO-TEX certified cotton and guaranteed to inspire lots of inspired playtime. We love the funky, saturated colors of the toys as much as the thought (and detailed craftsmanship) that went into making them.
There’s something about The Wandering Workshop’s mashup of traditional toys with a modern art look (think Calder or Miro) that makes us smile. Handcrafted in Greece using non-toxic, water-based paints and varnishes and formaldehyde and biocide-free wood and birch plywood, these toys incorporate playful colors with simple designs. The very simple and basic design aspect is intentional. The Wandering Workshop creators want the kids to put the toys together as part of the creative play process so the pieces, from train cars to the whimsical assymetricycle, were all designed with your little builders in mind. If they get stumped, you can always check out their video on how to put it together.
