The Real Bears – A Short Film About The Unhappy Truth Behind Soda Consumption

It’s getting close to the time of year when that big-brand soda company starts rolling out ads featuring a homely family of polar bears guzzling ample servings of sugary soda [1]. But what if those bears actually lived a lifestyle rife with cola consumption? Director and animator, Lucas Zanotto, imagines exactly such a scenario in his short film ‘The Real Bears [2]‘. Filled with damning facts and thought-provoking imagery, the film lays out the truth about soda consumption utilizing a medium that makes it easily accessible for kids. Be sure to watch it with your child, or screen it solo before viewing it together, as the film does contain some adult themes and I’m sure he/she will have lots of questions.
