I’ll be honest and admit that when Guyot Designs first sent me some ‘Squishy Bowls’ to review, I had no idea what to make of the little buggers. ‘Why would anyone want a Squishy Bowl?’ I wondered… ‘What is the point of these things?’ Then my baby turned six months old and we started him on solid foods, and the beauty of the Squishy was suddenly revealed to me.
Since I am making my own baby food, I needed a soft, small container out of which to feed my baby his mashed up avocados and bananas. And because my baby (like most babies) is very ‘active’ during the feeding process, (i.e. arms and legs going a mile a minute), a Squishy Bowl is the perfect thing for getting the job done in a clean and relaxed manner. Any regular plastic bowl would be flying through the air within seconds of my baby’s flailing arms making contact, but the Squishy Bowl has enough give to endure the wrath of my little guys fists.
Squishy Bowls seem like a lot of fun for bigger kids, and there are plenty more grown-up uses for Squishy Bowls as well. Sold at REI, and designed for mobility, Squishy Bowls are foldable, stashable, unbreakable, microwaveable, dishwasher safe and made from food-grade silicone. Keep one in your bag for any time that you need a cup or a bowl in a pinch. Silicone is one of the most inert and food-safe plastics out there, so even those of you who eye plastic food containers with suspicion can feel safe about eating out of these puppies.

Wow, these look great! We’ll definitely have to try them out.
I would love to win the set, it’d be perfect for camping or maybe just pull it out of my shoulder bag for those impromptu lunches in the middle of meetings.
i just returned from a circus festival in tasmania, sustainably run and off-the-grid, and these would have been perfect packable camping gear for the far away adventure.
I’m an architecture student meaning I spend a lot of time in the studio. And I pack a lot of lunches. I hate lugging around bowls back and forth from home! These squishy bowls would be a perfect, light-weight, non-breakable solution.
Because I know the squishy bowls are dying to be featured in my cooking videos, with credit due to inhabitots!
And of course they are amazing.
Because they look easy to manage, low-maintenance, and fun to use. I wanna use them, lol!
Who wouldn’t want to squish their bowl while eating?
These are great! A friend brought them camping and the kids loved them. I think we’d use them on the deck and any time my highly accident prone dd was needing a dish!
Aside from being fun to squish, this material is great to chomp on — my little guy is teething and would love to chew on these during meal times!
