Sabrina Arini’s Color-It Footstool

Cardboard furniture, cardboard stool, color-it footstool, color-it suitcase, destination brazil, jaya designs, jaya moma, jaya studio, sabrina arini

Like a coloring book turned three-dimensional, Sabrina Arini’s Color-It footstool encourages kids to get out their pencils and make their mark on furniture. Made of corrugated cardboard, the stool “supports up to 66 pounds in weight,” and remains sturdy “without the use of glue or screws.” It is decorated in a motif of simplistic line drawings of wild animals that beg to be filled in. The footstool (designed for the MoMA Store’s Destination: Brazil collection) is only one of the fascinating products produced by Sabrina Arini’s Studio Jaya! Other items include a suitcase (also for MoMA), timepieces, more cardboard furniture and adorable plushes listed as ‘toy art’.
