RIKA’s rubber animals are a great conversation and conservation piece, as they’re made from reclaimed inner tubes. Perfect for both playtime and decor, the sheep, giraffe, gorilla and elephant encourage children to see everyday materials in a different light. The vibrant thread accents give each creature a lively and endearing personality. Ricardo Geldres and Kareen Nishimura are the designers behind RIKA, which is based in Lima, Peru. Their mission is to “design and develop products manufactured with non-conventional materials, rescuing artisan techniques and adding playfulness to each singular proposal.”
