We love polar bears; and we’re certain the Joe Bookshelf by iBride would be a majestic focal point in any room of the house, loved by children and adults alike. Created by a French family in the South of France, the Joe Bookshelf is constructed via a turn of the century process using high-pressure laminate with a pre-recycled wood core. iBride (pronounced e-breed) and meaning “hybrid,” is a play on words in French. Their mission is to create environmentally inspired furniture which doubles as decorative art. Measuring 45″ H x 81″ L x 33″ W, the intricate lattice work in “Joe’s” frame would offer a unique dwelling place for many books and treasures. But, with a bear of a price tag ($6,000), we’ll be admiring this beauty from a distance, much like we would the real thing.
Very cute. Not so wallet- or space-friendly, though.
I was thinking to buy one for my daughter, but after seeing the $6k price, no thanks!
