The kid in us is squealing with excitement over the launch (today) of the Pecanpals collection of eco-friendly collectible toys. These charming wooden Inhabitants of a small Pacific island have just landed in the U.S., and are here for your collecting pleasure. The sustainable wood figurines were dreamed up by artists Candy and Nick of Noferin studio, and they couldn’t be cuter.

Pecanpals are made from 100% sustainably harvested rubber tree wood that would otherwise go to waste. Like any smart artist, Noferin creates each batch of Pecanpals in limited, collectible editions. The original painted Pecanpals are completely sold out, but today Noferin is launching a new collection of natural wood Pecanpals, and each one is completely unique due to the wood grain.

Noferin has also created an engaging backstory and a series of lovely Giclee illustrations to go along with the figurines. There are only going to be 300 Pecanpals made in the latest natural-wood style, so if you want one, you better act fast. The first batch sold out within a matter of days.
