‘Hoo’ wants to enjoy a fun DIY project? Menina, a crafty, elementary school aged, DIYer offers simple instructions on how to make your own plush version of our handsome Inhabitots mascot. She calls her creations ‘Owlies’ and even lists them in order of ‘birth.’ She also fashions her owls using simple, sustainable materials: “We chose wool (recycled skirt and pants).” Okay, so maybe she had a little help using “zig-zag or satin stitch to appliqué the belly, beak, and eyes on the front of the body.” That doesn’t make her process any less adorable or impressive!

This is a very cute project. I think I’ll try to get my 9 year old daughter behind the sewing machine to make 1.
