First there was breast milk ice cream, now breast milk cheese? As part of her final work in NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications Program, artist Miriam Simun has created “The Human Cheese Shop,” an interactive exhibit where she invites visitors to taste cheese made from breast milk. Starting this Thursday, Michael Mut Gallery in New York City’s Lower East Side will host Simun’s exhibit which shows visitors the original plan, the process, and the final product: cheese. Simun’s goal is to get us talking about our food and consumption habits and what we believe to be “natural.” Hit the jump for all the details.
