From the founders of ducduc comes a burgeoning sustainable furniture company that is updating familiar silhouettes for a new generation of design-savvy parents and their brood. “It’s all about the journey,” David Harris of MasonGray tells Inhabitots. “These pieces will remind you of places and people, like a lake house or your family vacation from the past.”

The nascent line has four collections: Savannah, Regency, Stonington, and Georgian, each with its own distinctive appearance and vibe. Pieces from the different collections, however, are designed to be mixed and matched, says Harris, to “create your own room.” Made in a factory in Connecticut from sustainably harvested hardwood, MasonGray’s cribs, beds, and dressers come in several non-toxic, water-based colors, glazes, and washes that are painstakingly applied by hand.

Parents who are feeling left out, by the way, can take heart: Unlike ducduc, which caters primarily to the juvenile set, MasonGray has grownup versions of its designs for adults, including beds, armoires, nightstands, and dressers.
