After having to have a few trees removed from her yard Childhood 101 founder Christie Burnett came up with the brilliant idea of crafting a DIY treehouse toy from the remains. She gathered branches at the time of removal, always planning to repurpose them into something fun for her kids. Finally, she built this whimsical treehouse play scene using a saw, string, two tapping hooks and a hot glue gun. We love the different textures of smooth branches mixed with rounds of wood with bark still in tact. What better material for a treehouse toy than a tree that needs a new life beyond the backyard?
