We’re positively wild about miYim’s new collaboration with the Jane Goodall Institute. What self-respecting animal lover wouldn’t be? Based on the renowned British primatologist’s ethos that people, animals, and the environment are all connected, the Jane Goodall Wild Animal Collection offers three stately if tragically endangered beasts: a gorilla, a hippo, and a lion. Only plant- and mineral-based dyes were used to make the toys, and part of the proceeds will go towards furthering the Institute’s research and advocacy work.

What a great idea to get proceeds back to the Goodall institute. I really like that only plant and material based dyes were used. Eco friendly and baby friendly
I bought the lion and the elephant at Chapters, thinking that they were all natural, as it says on the label. We have a miYim monkey stuffed with cotton at home already, so I thought these would be a nice addition. After checking the white label attached directly to the animal, I read that they were stuffed with polyester fibers! And yet, on the hanging tag it states that they’re made with natural plant dyes, etc. Sure, just the outside of the animal! I believe that’s false advertising. Feeling cheated, I brought them back to the store, very disappointed. They are not eco friendly or baby friendly.
