jayme mcgowan, organic clothing for kids, citiblocs. recycled bikes, recycle juice boxes. juice box boats

We’re smitten with the wonderful handmade paper and ink framed masterpieces created by Jayme McGowan and showcased at her website, Roadside Projects. They will be featured at Three Graces Gallery in New Hampshire starting next week.

Send your kids back to school on a recycled bike highlighted at Green Goody.

LilSugar has kids covered from head to toe with their post on runway worthy organic kiddie apparel.

Cookie Magazine’s Daily Find spotlights Citiblocs, eco-friendly wooden stacking blocks made from certified renewable Radiata Pine and full of towering fun.

You know we advocate reusable, BPA free water bottles, but in the event your kid is caught with a (gasp!) juice box… at least reuse it by making it into a clever juice box boat like the one created by Brooke at Inchmark.

You don’t have to go to Amsterdam for your back to school “Recycled Bicycles”. One (or more) of your local bike shops may sell used bicycles. Here in Eugene, Oregon at least three shops: Revolution Cycles, Eugene Bicycle Works, and Blue Heron sell these ‘recycled bikes’ that they have tuned up and often times outfitted with racks, fenders, bells, and other items that make getting to school easier.

And on that note. Don’t forget to sign your local school up for Walk + Bike to School Day on Oct. 7th http://www.walktoschool-usa.org/ (or walknbike.org in Oregon) and make sure your local community has a Safe Routes to School program going as well http://www.saferoutesinfo.org
