Step 1: Gather the Supplies

Step 2: Cut the Cork
Choose a selection of corks that balance well standing up. Then an adult should carefully use a knife to cut a slit in the top of the cork deep enough to hold the place card.
Step 3: Cut the Feathers
Let your child cut the scrap paper into a variety of feathers. We laid ours out on the table as we cut them to decide how many feathers we thought each place card would need.
