Gallery: HOW TO: Organize Your Child...
#7: Ask for Input
When organizing my son's room, I would ask him as we went along where he would like certain things kept. For instance, since he is an avid reader, we decided that placing two shelves (that would usually hold photo frames) above his bed. These are perfect for displaying his favorite books, while giving him easy access to them when he is in bed. We decided to place the LEGO bins on the bottom of his bookcase rather than other toys, because they are the ones that he plays with the most. The key is to find the best options for your child, since it is their bedroom and you want them to feel a sense of pride and ownership when taking care of it.What other ways have you organized your child's bedroom for the new year?

Where did you get his bed? I’ve been looking everywhere for one like this…
Hi kdavi,
It use to be a bunk bed with desk underneath that we purchased years ago at IKEA. We cut the desk and bed apart to make a bed that is large and close to the ground, and repurposed the desk portion to make a creative space for my son. You can see the process here: http://www.mysweetgreens.com/2011/10/ikea-hack-turn-loft-bed-into-regular.html
Warmly,
Jennie
