HOW TO: Make Dr. Seuss’s Oobleck with Your Kids

What you will need for Dr. Seuss’s Oobleck:

  • bowl
  • 1 cup organic cornstarch
  • 1 cup water
  • a empty plastic container from the recycling bin
  • natural food coloring (optional)
  • something to stir with (that won’t become stained by the food coloring)

Step 1: Add Cornstarch

Have your child add the cornstarch to a large bowl.

Step 2: Slowly Add Water

Have your child slowly add water to the cornstarch, a little at a time until a thick syrup consistency appears.

Step 3: Add a Little Color

If you would like, you can add a few drops of food coloring.
