In a recent Inhabitots poll, almost 300 of you noted that iPhone apps for kids can be a lifesaver when out and about. However, because the health consequences of iPhone use are still up for debate, we advocate judicial iPhone use for tots. To balance safety and usefulness, make the most of your child’s iPhone time by offering apps that are developmentally appropriate and big on fun, like the brand new (and FREE!) “First Alphabet Flash Cards” app. This new iPhone app, launched by HAPPYBABY is interactive and engaging. It comes with 26 colorful flashcards, each containing a letter of the alphabet along with a brightly colored correlating fruit or vegetable illustration. Parents or tots can “shuffle” this flash card deck with a simple shake of their iPhone. As long-time fans of HAPPYBABY, we also recommend you check out their book HAPPYBABY: The Organic Guide to Baby’s First 24 Months and their awesome finger foods for little munchers.
