Maya’s Athena costume is 100 % handmade using $1.00 plastic tablecloth dress, $1.00 plastic serving tray shield, newspaper and cardboard papier mache helmet. We used a recycled dress for the cape, broomstick ends and pieces of foam for the spear, felt, newspaper, and puffy paint for the cuffs, and a lot of gold paint.
