Starbucks Strawberries and Cream Frappuccino Halloween Costume by Kelly Young
Starbucks Strawberries and Cream Frappuccino complete with drinking straw hat.
HOW TO MAKE THIS COSTUME
Step 1:
Pink felt is approximately 18″ x 40″ (for a 3 year old). Stitch up the short sides to create a tube to form the “cup.” Sew a 1″ hem at the top to make a pocket for a flexible plastic that I taped into a ring. Sew in a white felt circle at the top to cover shoulders and make a base for the whipped cream and cut out a head hole. Cut arm holes on the side wear appropriate.
Step 2:
For coffee logo, reverse print the logo on fabric image paper. Iron image onto white fabric and stitch onto pink “cup.”
Step 3:
For whipped cream, cut out approximately 30 circles. You can use a plate to trace. Fold in half and tack center with glue. Fold into thirds, fold one up and one down. Tack down with glue at the point side. Glue around the top of the “cup” on the white felt. Fluff to cream a whipped cream look and glue where needed to hold the shape.
Step 4:
For the hat, use a hand band and attach it to a beanie hat. Cut out smaller circles (approximately the size of a saucer) and fold just as you did before. Cut a small white circle for a base. Use a paper towel roll for a straw. Cut it down to size you want and cover in green felt or paint green. Glue straw to center of small circle, glue whipped cream circles around and fluff up to look like cream as you did on the cup. Attach to the hat by stitching or glue.

That’s super creative!
