Jorge Herrera used a recycled cardboard diaper box for body of the plane and other parts including the propeller that actually spins. Empty paper towel rolls created the steering column and an old dog frisbee was used for the steering wheel. Colored duct tape from Dad’s tool box helped to hold it all together. And, the pilot’s costume was made from old clothes and swimming goggles.

This costume just adds to the theory that there is nothing better than a cardboard box for costume making.
