I would like to win this kit as a gift for my friend who is due next week! As she is a first-time mom, I would love for her to try out a sample of cloth diapers to find out which works best for her new baby boy so that they can start him out in the world with a green lifestyle.

She is an eco-conscious woman who wants to do what is best for our earth and (of course) her baby, so she would love this starter kit!

i want to win these so that i can give them to my best friend who is due in a few weeks and doesn’t believe the “cloth diapering hype.” she still maintains that it is more cost and time effective to use disposables.

The reason that I want to win this kit is because I just finished writing my final essay about Eco-Friendly design in the Academy of the Arts in Iceland. And planing on having a baby this year:) I also want to turn my home into a green home:)

You know how people are trying to be carbon-neutral? Well, I’m determined to make this baby budget-neutral as well as eco-friendly! I’ve joined freecycling groups for hand-me-downs, accepted hand-me-down maternity clothing, and plan to buy nearly everything used that I don’t receive as shower gifts. Cloth diapering is a big part of my eco/frugal plan, and it would be so helpful to get some awesome cloth diapers for free! Thanks for the giveaway!

P.S. I also notified you that your contest page was broken. How’s that for initiative? Did I win it? Did I win it? :P

I wanna win this, cause the minute I heard about the G-Diaper I wanted to give em a try. My wife and I are expecting a new born soon and we both really want to try and use the most eco-friendly and responsible diaper solution out there. And from what I have been told, we’ll be needing a bunch of them! I would love the chance to start with the G-Diaper from Day-1!
    Keeping me fingers crossed!

I live on an Army base, and some of the choices we make to raise a green baby are very exotic to our peers and neighbors. Thus, even though it’s our first baby and he’s not even here yet, we’re in the strange position of being subject matter experts on cloth diapering! I would love to try out G-diapers, the Kissaluvs, and the BumGenius diapers in addition to the various brands of hand-me-down cloth diapers we have already been given so that we can give the green-curious ladies on the block our opinion on the full range of available options.

    Thanks for the contest!

I love love love cloth diapers and have used them since our 18 month old son was born. People always notice his cloth dipes and we take every opportunity to rave about how easy and cost-effective they are, in addition to their environmental benefits. We are in the adoption process for our second child and NEED to get newborn size diapers. Our son was so big, he went right in the smalls, so we have no NB’s! If we win them, we will re-gift our outgrown cloth dipes to another family in need. Thank you!

i would love to win so that i may try them- i have 3 children under the age of 3 in diapers (the oldest wears them only at night) and i am bothered by all the waste produced using these disposable products. my mother cloth diapered all 3 of her children over 30 years ago (and when diaper services were readily found), so if these are really great and easy, i’d love to make the transition. this kit would serve my 5 month old well right now, so my fingers are crossed! thanks so much for the chance to win such a super eco-friendly product. cheers & all good wishes!

We need these because I’m due on Monday…. two mere days after this contest ends!

This is our first child and we have no idea what to expect (in diapering and beyond). We also don’t want to spend lots on diapers she might hate.

We have a few disposables (nature baby, I think) to get us by the first few weeks, but we really want to be as environmentally responsible as we can. Having a sampler like this would help our diaper decision so much!

I have very pregnant boss. She is small lady that doesn’t complain, even about the twins that occupy the planet she has been wearing for the past few months. She has tried reusable diapers with her first son and has some epic stories of the flaky pick-up service, which is why she turned to disposable. She’s all about being eco-friendly, but when babies are pooping everywhere you use what works.

She is due at any moment and this would be such a treat to give to her and her family, and give her a chance at some better quality cloth diapers!

    Dear Inhabitots,
I am a young, soon-to-be mother in Spokane, Washington. I work for a local non-profit and my husband is a community organizer advocating for recreational trails. As you well know, non-profit work, though very rewarding, can be financially challenging for a young couple. We are working full time to make a difference in our community. If we win this sampler kit of eco-diapers, it would allow us to educate other young couples on the importance and ease of using enviromentaly friendly diapers rather than landfill-bound disposable diapers.

I am already smitten with cloth diapers. A good friend of mine is expecting her second baby next week. She’s expressed an interest in cloth diapers, but she’s afraid to invest the money without knowing for sure that she’ll really use them. I would love to be able to surprise her with this kit. It would show her how many green diapering options are out there, and that cloth isn’t nearly as scary as it sounds. I really believe that if given a few, she would be hooked to cloth diapering like I am. It would be such a blessing for her and her family as well. Having two children in disposables is such a drain on finances. This would give her a much better financial option.

Our first baby is due in April and I am all about the gDiapers. I even have my husband excited to try them out. I’m a little bit nervous about washing cloth diapers, but I would definitely give it a try with this kit. I would love to try these diapers because there are no cloth diapers available locally. It is hard to understand our options living in a small town in the midwest, I dont know anyone who cloth diapers around me, and it looks like things have really changed since my mother used old flat diapers with pins and plastic pants! Giving these a try would really help me figure out this cloth diapering thing! Thank you!

Baby #2 is due in just 5 weeks and I would love to try cloth diapering to minimize our children’s impact on the Earth. We borrowed some old school cloth prefold diapers with #1 but when he had COLIC, we gave up and took the easy disposable route. I am intrigued by all three options offered by this contest and how EASY they make cloth diapering look… and how cute! Colic or no, I think I could make cloth diapering work with options like these!

My husband and I are expecting in September, and in the meantime we’re researching everything sustainable when it comes to parenting. Since it’s how we live our life already, common sense says to do the same when bringing a baby into the mix. We will DEFINITELY be using cloth and ‘green’ diapers, no question. When it comes to baby, we want our experiences to be “real”. Everything from nursing to co-sleeping to making our own baby food. This is just one of the many things we’ll be doing “because it’s the right thing to do” – for our baby, and for the good of the earth. What good are we as parents if we don’t think of the place future generations will inhabit when we’re gone?

I’ve been wanting to try gDiapers for a while. We use cloth and sometimes if we’re out, it can be a pain in the rear end. I think gDiapers might be a good compromise for us.

  31. Lily says:

‘Cause I’m broke! I’m having a baby boy in May and getting psyched for cloth diapering because it’s such a money-saver and also great for baby’s bum. I’m actually going to be using pre-folds mostly because they’re so inexpensive! That is a true testament to my brokeness, so if you’re giving away free all-in-ones I am ALL for it! Money aside, don’t even get me started on how many diapers are sitting in landfills around the world. It’s a sad state of affairs we are in, but it CAN be turned around. I’ll be influencing the minds of many a young woman who will probably have a baby in the future and hopefully start a cloth diapering revolution. Amen.

I would love to win this because I have spent good money on several brands of cloth diapers and I still have not found the perfect fit for my son. We are trying to incorporate more green living into our lives but it’s hard when cloth diapers are a pricey investment and my tall, skinny baby doesn’t seem to fit many of them well. This would help a lot so that I could try the diapers first and if they fit, invest in a stash. Thanks for the chance!

I signed up for the newsletter (and got my first one today!). I would love to win this contest because we are expecting our first baby in April and are planning to cloth diaper as exclusively as possible. We’re concerned about the environmental impact of disposables, as well as the impact on her body of all of those chemicals being on her skin 24/7. We’re working on figuring out what brand to choose (what a huge selection and number of choices there are out there!), so it would be awesome to have two different brands to try out and practice with ahead of time. I also hope to use G Diapers when we feel we have to go disposable, so having a starter pack would be just wonderful! Thanks for the chance!

I would love to win the diapers as a gift to my older brother. Him and his wife are artists and are expecting their baby in several months. They have an interest in cloth diapering but have not made any decisions yet. I’m just afraid that they may have too much going on right now and out of being busy and overwhelmed they may just buy disposables. I know this gift would be just the right thing to get them started. I love cloth diapering and I want everyone else to love it too! Thank you!!!

I am 20 weeks pregnant with our first, and G Diapers are at the top of my list of things to try first. While we take every chance we can to be green, I am worried about making the investment to get started with G Diapers since we live on such a tight budget from check to check. So this starter kit would be a wonderful jump start for us!

Thank you for such a great eco-friendly giveaway! I hope that the person who wins will realize that cloth diapers are not what they used to be, and are so much easier and better for parents and babies!

I need this kit because I know how great cloth diapers are, but my bf doesn’t believe me! He thinks it will be a pain. We have a newborn, and have been using Moltex disposable diapers since he was born. We are using so many of those per week, it’s crazy! I really want to find a cheaper, and greener option that will please everyone at home. And I think cloth diapers are so cute!

Please Inhabitots, help me convince my bf how great cloth diapers are with this kit!

Be careful what you flush! G diapers are truly flushable only under certain conditions (compare ‘compostable’ fabrics which can be composted only industrially).

The only thing you should flush – other than your daily offerings at the porcelain shrine – is toilet paper.

I have a million reasons, however I will list the most important ones:

1.- I want to make an agent of change for this generation using flushable gdiapers.
2.- I want to contribute with the ecology by reducing waste
and having a clean environment in my community.
3.- I want to impact on the economy by saving the raw materials needed in making the regular diapers
4.- It will be the best valentine’s present to my wife..eversince we got married…
5.- We will be saving a lots of hard work since we don’t need to think of trashing them out once we use them we just flush them out.
6.- Our baby is only a few weeks old and we will see the real impact in the long term in our pockets and our house
    by using these magic gdiapers
7.- We are already green…we use a hybrid vehicle in our house…so to remain green won’t be swet.
8.- We support everything that envolves to help our planet
we only have one …the one we live on.
9.- We would love to evangelize the gdiaper brand around our community to spread the benefits!
10.- We can always send you a picture (s) of our baby using the gdiaper and showing the impact.

Hi! I’ve been using cloth diapers for my baby, which is saving our family tons of cash, keeps the bleached materials off my baby’s skin, and keeps the plastics out of our local incinerator.
This would be an ideal starter kit for someone who is considering cloth diapering. The gDiapers are the greenest disposables I’ve ever seen, made of unbleached, natural materials and biodegradable. The all-in-ones are so easy to use, and who would want to put a perfumed plastic disposable on your baby after using cloth? This kit would be a great way to introduce, if not convert, a mom to the joy of cloth and eco-friendly diapering. I would love to give it to my new nephew (and his mommy) who is due in March.

My husband and I are expecting our first child on or around May 12th and I have been researching cloth diapers for a good year now but of course there is still a little hesitance about whether we could really do it or not. I am staying home with the baby after she is born so I know that I would have the time to do it.. I just don’t know if I CAN do it! I think winning this giveaway would help jump start us into the cloth diapering world and give us the leg up we need to stay “strong” through the beginning and see this through. We are trying to make eco-friendly choices in our home every day as we recycle everything possible, we use fluorescent bulbs and eco friendly household cleaners. This could be one more thing to lower our carbon footprint, right?

I want to win these diapers for the following reasons:
    a) i can quit annoying my husband by no longer saying ‘i never win anything cool’
    b) i can stop using disposables when we go out and about. we use the old fashioned cloth diapers now, but if we go out shopping etc – we (gasp) use disposables so we don’t have to tote the dirty cloths back home with us. I’ve tried to talk hubbie into the g diapers many a time – to combat the reliance on disposables during weekend excursions, to no avail.
    c) i am a designer by trade and LOVE the designs of the gdiapers – and just plain ol’ WANT ‘EM because they look so cool!
    d) my husband is and many of my friends are LEED certified – so they all love to talk about eco-friendly products. would love to tout the eco-friendly g diapers -if only we had some first hand experience (hint-hint).

    Hi Inhabitots,

I still have a bit over a month to go until I am unceremoniously removed from a dark yet comfortable place where all my needs have been generously taken of for the better half of a year. Since my current location precludes me from training in the art of the toilet, an adjustment period of several years will be necessary. I would really appreciate it if you would assist my parents during this time by helping them get the best defecation containment system possible for both me and the environment. After all, it is about to become my planet too.

    Kindest regards,

My husband and I are expecting our first child next month, and have decided (long before we even got pregnant) that we are going to be eco-friendly parents, and use cloth diapers. When we first learned about GDiapers, we were ecstatic. It was exactly what I was looking for, and exactly like the founders of the company, we, too, were looking for alternatives to disposable. We returned from a trip from New Zealand, and witnessed nature at its finest, but saddened by its fast deterioration. We spoke extensively to environmentalists and were saddened by what our lifestyles have encouraged (expectations of convenience and instant gratification), the lack of awareness (putting trash out on the curb and not worrying about what happens to it – the whole “out of sight out of mind” mentality), and the whole “turning a blind eye” to the waste that our society produces (mostly packaging) -basically what our society has become accustomed to, including the use of disposable diapers. I know we are only one couple in the whole world, but I refuse to be one that says “oh, we’re only one couple, what’s the difference?!” We will do what little we can do to contribute positively to the environment, and set a good example for generations to follow -after all, it is THEIR future. Already, we are minimalists, recyclers, and conservationists. This was a no-brainer for us. In fact, not only have we posted a plethora of information regarding Gdiapers and cloth diapers on our personal blog, but we have also sent emails and newsletters and links out to our friends who have children, or are expecting, just to spread the word about these flushable alternatives. Feedback has been positive so far, and we would like to continue advocating the product, which is why we would be ecstatic to win this contest, and continue to spread the good word. In these harsh economic times, winning this contest would not only help us get started, but also give us something to rave about and to continue encouraging the use of this great product -hopefully start a new cloth/flushable diaper trend among all the new parents in our community (6 of our neighbors/friends are pregnant and all expecting this year and we also know countless new parents as of this past year). We would be ever so grateful to win this starter package :)

I just wrote this huge long thing our and then it said it didn’t go through. I just signed up for you emails because I really want this!

I am pregnant with our second and never did cloth diapers with him. I have been keeping a little boy that has cloth diapers and its not so bad! I want to do this with this baby but it can get expensive. I want to do more good for this baby and the environment!

I would love to win these diapers for many reasons; we just made the switch over to cloth after reading up on better ways to better your environment and with me staying at home it just makes since that I can wash a poo out of a diaper vs. throwing poo away. I have two boys so adding to the stash would be fantastic! Thanks for the great giveaway!!

I plan to become pregnant within the year, but if this doesn’t happen, there are women I know who are currently pregnant and could benefit from this gift. I would like to win the Green Diaper Giveaway because I believe using the diapers would be economical and eco-friendly. Diapers which are not eco-friendly, contribute a tremendous amount of waste in the overflowing landfills across the nation. Additionally, I think we need to instill environmentally friendly ideals into our children from the beginning. In bringing a child into the world and thinking about their future, we have to think about the state of the environment as they grow and it becomes their resonsiblity to care for the earth.

I SIMPLY LOVE G DIAPERS CONSCIOUS CREATIONS! I am pregnant with my first child and would like to be as green as possible. Protecting my child, mother nature, & the future is of great importance to me. Also,I have a garden…and the fact that G Diapers can go in the compost is simply brilliant!!!!…I would love to give them a try!

I want to win these diapers so they can be used in the MOST eco-friendly way – by many mamas until they just can’t be used anymore! I run a free cloth diaper lending service called Teeny Greenies and we use donations and volunteers to get as many babies in cloth as humanly possible. At the moment we have hundreds of different diapers that are out in circulation right now, but NONE of them are gDiapers or BumGenius AIOs. We have alot of mamas asking about gDiapers and BumGenius and alot of soon-to-be-born babies on our waiting list who could use these in the next few months, so it would be great to add these to our collection. Thanks so much for considering us!

yes yes yes I love G diapers and clothes diapers too ,
so I want the kit for me!
but instead I will give this to a friend because I want to convince her that is not a “pain” as some people think! is very easy and clean! and the most important thing is that we have to give back to nature what it needs!
    thanks!

I love cloth diapers because they are friendly to our environment. Plus the typical diapers just clutter our landfills with all that plastic. Also an added bonus in the long run they will save you loads of money. Thanks for a great giveaway.

I’ve really wanted to make the switch to cloth but just have been a bit afraid to. I think gdiapers would be a great starting point into cloth diapers. And the diaper covers are amazingly cute. I also think that having a few cloth to try would be so fun. well as fun as poop in a diaper can be.

All of my friends have used disposable, so I have taken advice from you guys! I really like the idea of the G diapers and think they would work great for me and my newborn! I would love to win these!!

My eco chic friend is due to her first baby soon (a girl). My friend tries to live a life with very little carbon foot print, and your product is perfect for that. This mom-to-be is very active, and the great green diaper would allow her to continue her outdoors outings without the fear of compromising for regular disposable diapers.

    Here’s my two cents.

My husband will not by into cloth diapers. I have made a lot of changes in my lifestyle to make it more green within the past few years. I have switched to organic and locally grown foods, started composting, switched to green cleaners and soaps (including body, hair, dishwashing, and laundry), use only reuseable bags, walk to the store whenever I can, etc. He has done all these changes with me with some persuasion and if I can try these out I might have a chance of winning him over to this as well.

From birth we are trying teach him that the cradle to cradle approach to life. By winning this kit we will be able to teach our little guy a real life example that someone his age can relate to. Though my husband and I really want to have children, financially and ecologically we’re just not sure that we or the earth can afford them. We decided that when we do have children, reusable diapers are definitely theWe figure we can’t talk the talk to our friends about making choices to live lighter on the earth if we won’t walk the walk and actually live out those choices ourselves. Winning these diapers would restore my faith that a child can be raised in an ecofriendly (and chemical/plastic/bleach free) way. Is it really possible? Can you raise a child with minimum exposure to chemicals and a minimum waste footprint?

    Thanks for the contest.

He was born a little early and I had not properly readied myself. I’m now expecting my second baby in May and I would love to get it right this time. My wife and I have been debating back and forth the best diaper option to use. We try to live as green as possible, but we are also looking to balance a green life with affordable and convenient options for our (first) upcoming baby. For a while we were sold on g diapers and then we were sold on a cloth service and then we were in between and we’re tired of playing this game of diaper pong. A pack of g diapers would be the easy way to give g diapers a try without having a big initial cost, only to find out we wished we went with a service. But we think that once we go g diaper, we won’t go back! And maybe it counts for something that I’ve taken pressure off my lovely wife by taking over the diaper decisions!!

Namaste friends:) we have been living in India where our beautiful baby son was born using natural methods such as a midwife, natural herbs to assist in the birth and we live in a 300 year old earth and stone dwelling using no electricity and no non renewable fuels. Our journeys are undertaken by horse and cart, and we attempt to minimise all non renewable energies. We’d like to try the diapers as part of our ongoing commitment to eco living,
