Eco-fashionistas have a penchant for maternity wear that will stretch with their waistline and their wardrobe — retaining its fashionable place in the closet long after baby is born. Designer Hayley Starr’s Fancy dress is a highly versatile wardrobe staple that will befit burgeoning bellies as beautifully as it graces a new mom’s postpartum physique. It may be worn 110 different ways, making it the ultimate addition to every woman’s evolving repertoire.
Made from figure flattering Modal, a silky smooth fabric derived from beechwood cellulose, the reversible Fancy dress is available in a palette of fall colors including: olive, violet, midnight blue, black, and brown in sizes 0-16. Starr hopes to “inspire confidence, happiness and beauty” in the women who wear her pieces and to “break the transient, disposable, single-season mentality prevalent in modern day fashion.”

That’s really nice…and might even work for a woman with decent sized breasts, which is not something you often see.
Hmm… Nice, but a bit overpriced — you can get a similar effect with convertible dresses from eco company Jonano and (arguably) fair trade company American Apparel.
I would say AA quality not the same as really good modal. But anyway, it seems everything I wanted from Hayley Starr is sold out
chartreusegirl …..Are you serious? The clothing that those companies make are weird looking. I’d NEVER be caught DEAD in those clothes.
I love this dress. I plan to buy one here in the next couple of months. Very flattering on any figure.
Sorry txgirl24, but my AA convertible dress looks fantastic on my expanding waistline, and I get to put the $237 I saved towards… really just about anything higher priority.
As for not being caught dead in one of those dresses? The black halter worn by Inhabitot’s Jill in her ’08 post on maternity wear looks exactly like the one I’ve been wearing from AA. You’re insane if you think she looks anything less than fabulous, and if you read her post, you’d be a bit embarrassed to be considering spending that much on maternity wear when it can clearly be done chicly and greenly for almost nothing.
hi everybody I am noob here
I recently found this forum from researching several keywords for my school project. I simply wanted to say hi to everybody. Thanks!
