NUMI NUMI Design is poised to debut multiple collections of gorgeous, eco-friendly children's furniture, which couple modern appeal with sustainable manufacturing standards. Designer Lior Schapiro, a father of three, felt that baby furniture on the market was lacking, so he set out to create nursery collections that are eco-minded, innovative, economical and functional. We'd say Schapiro accomplished his goal with the breathtaking Funky Forest Crib and Changing Table, shown above. The Funky Forest collection, which also includes a toddler bed, was designed to resemble the asymmetry of tree trunks, shadows, and the spaces in the foliage of a forest, all of which provides a unique setting in which your little one may observe, wonder, touch, play and of course sleep and relax. Sustainable Design

The Funky Forest collection, along with other collections by NUMI NUMI are eco-friendly, made of highly durable NAUF (no added urea formaldehyde) multi-ply birch wood. All finishes and stains used for the pieces are non-toxic and water-based. The company only uses FSC (The Forest Stewardship Council – Monitored forest management) wood products and NUMI NUMI furniture contains zero veneer or plastic laminated materials. Some of the changing tables feature integrated lighting, and for those pieces, the company chose to use LED fixtures that not only provide more than 30,000 hours of energy, but the lights remain cool, consume less energy than typical lighting choices and do not contain mercury.

Eco-friendly Manufacturing

NUMI NUMI Design furniture and packaging are all manufactured right here in the United States, which helps to reduce emissions, and makes it easier to assure quality and craftsmanship control at every step of manufacturing. The company takes special care with issues such as waste reduction during manufacturing and all packaging and assembly instructions are made of recyclable materials.

Stylish Designs

From the curvy lines of the Seaweed Changing Table (shown above) to the almost electric looking panels of the entire Wired collection, NUMI NUMI has a little something to suit every taste. NUMI NUMI works with a less is more approach to furiture, and values neatness and organization. To that end, NUMI NUMI designs are inspired by the Japanese Bento Box, known for simple efficiency. NUMI NUMI’s minimalistic furniture strives to make life for parents easier with drawers for easy organization and less wasted space, while still providing plenty of room for all those baby accessories.

Product Safety

Children’s safety is one of NUMI NUMI’s first priorities. All furniture collections comply with and exceed regulations formulated by ASTM (American Society for Testing and Materials) and CPSC (Consumer Product Safety Commission). All products are also tested and approved by an ASTM laboratory.

Most changing tables and cribs are discarded or replaced after a few, brief years, however, NUMI NUMI Design products are designed to grow with your child which saves you money and ends the horrid cycle of waste this country is stuck in. The changing tables within the NUMI NUMI collections are perfect as a dresser for years to come, once the diaper changing days are over. All NUMI NUMI cribs transform from crib to toddler bed or a cool-looking sofa simply by removing one crib side and replacing it with a conversion panel.
