The new Octopus Ring Toss from SkipHop is sure to add a lot of safe fun to your child’s bath-time routine. This cute green octopus features 2-stage play for twice the bathtime fun. Your little one can toss rings onto waiting octopus arms or enjoy how the arms gently sprinkle water down. The Octopus suctions to your bathtub wall, but can be turned upside down to drain, meaning less icky mildew issues. This cute tub toy is made with soft BPA-free, phthalate-free, zero-bump materials so it’s safe for your baby and comes with three brightly colored tossable rings.

Hi there. I don’t mean to sound negative, but how is this toy eco-friendly? I get that it’s non-toxic for children, which is wonderful, but I don’t understand the eco-friendly tag. To me, eco-friendly means that an object is made using sustainably harvested materials and zero-impact production processes, and that, when the object ceases to be usable, it can easily be broken down and its constituent elements repurposed.
When I clicked the link to check out this product, I was curious because I wondered how Skip Hop had designed and produced an eco-friendly version of a rubberized tub toy, but the only information I can find about the materials used says that it is “soft” and “no-bump”. Is there more information elsewhere you can share?
