The fitlers in the filtering water bottles that we sell are made in the US, but not the bottles. And they are BPA free. It seems the cost savings of offshoring the bottles is too great to ignore. Many are interested in 'made in US' but for most cost rules.

I bought a SIGG to get away from plastic, and here they are containing pba in their liner. They lied about it because they had a confidentiality agreement with their chinese manufacturers! That is terrible! I would prefer to buy local, CA, but would just settle for US!

Are there any water bottles not made in China? What about Europe? My sister has the pictured butterfly one (with a caterpillar on the other side), and the caterpillar is almost completely gone. :(

The Eartlust bottles do have great designs, but its only drawback is that the heat transfer of the non-toxic paint come off easily and quickly. To your health and that of the planet. www.friendsofwater.com.

May we add that bottles that filter out contaminants and remove chemicals like fluoride might be even better – even if they don’t have cute pictures on them?
