In a world beset by violent imagery, the Peace Baby Block Set is a welcome antidote, as well as a wonderful teaching tool. Designed by illustrator Deb Pilutti and sold exclusively at Oliebollen, these picturesquely serene blocks are made in the company’s home state of Michigan from local, sustainably harvested maple. The set, which includes nine wooden blocks/puzzle pieces in a wooden tray, features silly baby faces, letters that spell out “peace” and “baby,” along with dots, stripes, peace, and love graphics—all in a soothing palette of earth-toned pink, blue, green, and cocoa.
