Let’s face it, babies and toddlers are a sloppy, unruly bunch, especially at mealtime, as any parent who’s had to pick strained peas out of her hair can tell you. Samantha Asay, a mother whose children always seemed to have more food on them than in them, hit upon a genius idea that was too good not to share: Why not create a range of clothing and accessories that comes in meal-matching colors and patterns to camouflage food stains? And so Pukies was born. Made from a blend of soy and organic cotton, Pukies’ bibs, burp cloths, bodysuits, and blankets embrace the moments when the spoon doesn’t quite reach the mouth. Hey, if you can’t beat ‘em, you can at least hide the evidence.
