Let’s face it, babies and toddlers are a sloppy, unruly bunch, especially at mealtime, as any parent who’s had to pick strained peas out of her hair can tell you. Samantha Asay, a mother whose children always seemed to have more food on them than in them, hit upon a genius idea that was too good not to share: Why not create a range of clothing and accessories that comes in meal-matching colors and patterns to camouflage food stains? And so Pukies was born. Made from a blend of soy and organic cotton, Pukies’ bibs, burp cloths, bodysuits, and blankets embrace the moments when the spoon doesn’t quite reach the mouth.
