DIY No-Sew Doll Carrier

When my daughter started carrying around her very first baby doll, she wanted a baby carrier so that she could hold her baby in the same fashion as she has seen my sisters and I carrying our babies. When I checked my local stores, I discovered, much to my dismay, that doll carriers are hard to come by in Nebraska. Several wonderful online shops offer doll carriers, but my little girl wanted one immediately. I put my thinking cap on and came up with a very easy, no-sew DIY doll carrier that my daughter loves… and you can make one too!
HOW TO MAKE A NO-SEW DOLL CARRIER
1. Grab a length of stretchy knit fabric. Anything you have will do, or make a trip to the fabric store and let your child pick out something he or she likes. To be a no-sew carrier, a knit fabric must be used, otherwise the carrier’s edges will unravel. I actually used two lengths of fabric and sewed them together in the middle, but if I’d had enough fabric, mine would have been no-sew!
2. Cut the fabric into a long rectangle. My daughter, who is a petite three-year-old, is quite comfortable with her wrap, which is 2 1/2 yards long and 14 inches wide. Fourteen inches is a great width, but you can adjust the length accordingly to suit the size of your child.
3. Once you have the right size rectangle cut out, you’re done! Wasn’t that easy? Now tie it on your tot, and pop the doll inside for hours of fun for your little one!
