how to make paper pinwheels, patching jeans, recycle holiday cards, shi shu blanket, st jude’s ranch

Enviromom extends the life of her daughter’s jeans by patching up the knees with adorable heart patches and adding hems for length.

Send your used holiday and greeting cards to St. Jude’s Ranch now through February 28, 2009. Children will recycle them into brand new cards, while getting paid for their work, and learning about going ‘green.’

Ohdeedoh shows us how to make beautiful paper pinwheels, which always delight children in their simplicity and design.

Crawl on over to teensygreen, where Stefani is giving away a gorgeous, natural, cotton/bamboo blend SHI SHU baby blanket.

Thanks, Tyler! Happy 2009 to you as well! I know, I too loved Enviromom’s idea to lengthen the jeans… I had seen patches before, but this hemline was a new trick to me! Glad you found it useful!
