ANNOUNCING…The Green Halloween Winners
by Jill Fehrenbacher
Drumroll please…. And now the moment you’ve all been waiting for: the announcement of the winners of our Inhabitots Green Halloween Contest! We had a ton of really great creative entries this year. From crafty home decor made from old aluminum cans, to awesome costumes, to clever Halloween treats - the ingenuity of our readers was on full display in this contest. Because the entries were so varied, we’re going to give out a number of different types of prizes instead of just a traditional 1st - 5th place. Without further ado, here are the winners of the Inhabitots Green Halloween Contest…
Grand Prize, for best costume: GREEN GARDEN GNOME
Second Place, for all-around cutest: LITTLE ROOSTER
We all loved this little guy’s grin
Third Place, for most ingenious re-use of household materials: SNAILY KIDS
This costume idea is brilliant, and the art-direction is priceless as well

Again, we want to thank everyone who participated in this competition. The craft and creativity on display was truly impressive. We’d like to showcase a few more of our favorite entries below. Thanks again everyone for your participation!

There was no arguing that this was the most creative and inspired use of household materials (old clothes and whatnot) for a Halloween costume
